Please ensure you register before the deadline. Introduction CCS is seen as an essential technology and a license to operate for O&G companies around the world. This short course will give an overview on the coupled geomechanical reservoir modeling, for either aquifers or depleted reservoirs, required to ensure the storage complex integrity, injectivity and storage capacity. Next to the workflows, a lot of time will be allocated to discuss the data flows and timing, as well as actual modeling steps. All this will be showcased by using actual project examples. Objectives Get an overview of the geomechanical questions that need to be answered Get an overview of the workflows used to get the answers Get an overview on the data flows, data uncertainty, timing and outcome uncertainty Get actual project examples to showcase the workflow Schedule 07:45-08:00 Introduction 08:00-09:00 Objectives and Data Flows 09:00-10:00 Modeling Workflows; Model Requirements, Gridding options, Software options 10:00-10:15 Coffee break 10:15-11:00 Fracture/Containment modeling; objectives, simplification and limitations 11:00-12:00 Coupled Geomechanical Reservoir Modeling; objectives, simplification and limitations 12:00-13:00 Lunch 13:00-14:00 Case History – Porthos – Storage Complex Injectivity & Capacity 14:00-15:00 Case History – Porthos – Storage Complex Integrity Instructor's Bio Jason Park Dr Jason Park: Reservoir Engineer Jason is working on reservoir and production engineering studies, well test and core analysis projects. Before joining Fenix in 2012, Jason worked for Daewoo heading their reservoir engineering team for several years. Before this he worked as a researcher at the Hanyang University in Korea heading several projects, focusing on water flooding and well test analysis of fractured reservoirs. Jason holds a PhD degree in Petroleum Engineering from Hanyang University, Seoul, Korea. Khobar, Eastern Province, Saudi Arabia AAPG false DD/MM/YYYY
