There is a lot of talk about the 2050 carbon neutral destination. Some companies are progressing and well into their journey, some have strayed off track, and some have not started. So, what does the route look like and how can progress be measured in terms of time and distance?

High CO2 fields and marginal fields (due to high levels of contaminants) are some of the challenges that are prevalent in the Asia Pacific petroleum industry. Join AAPG Asia Pacific for a 2-day workshop focused on best practices, risk-based planning and the role geoscientists and engineers will play in these changing times.

Join a Committee

The function of the Committee on Reservoir Development is to promote and support the importance of cost-effective and integrated development of oil and gas reservoirs and fields by working with the Research Committee, Education Committee, Publications Committee, and with other professional societies such as SPE, SPWLA, SEG, and EAGE. Projects could lead to the proposal and development of technical sessions, workshops and short courses at meetings and conferences, in preparing proposals for Hedberg Conferences and special publications. Other efforts should involve seeking authors for technical papers for the Bulletin, especially contributions to E&P Notes, demonstrating the significance of the design of integrated reservoir and field wide development strategies. Specific projects should be; to sponsor an Archie Conference once every two years; and to work with the Digital Geoscience Committee in developing a catalog of reservoir and field analogs in digital format.
