Mentioned in a post that "LLMs are not large numeric models" [1], for completeness, see visual examples from prompting LLM on Texas Field Production Reports. [2]

Lesson Learned from Exploration: The Need for Calibration

Beware the peril of using LLMs for oil and gas production volumes without proper calibration. Just as in exploration, performing seismic-well ties is a must before sanctioning or drilling another well.

Ensuring data verification and proper contextual alignment is critical when handling numerical assessments in LLM-driven workflows.
