Google has quietly launched Firebase Studio, a cloud-based AI-powered integrated development environment that lets you build full-fledged apps using natural language prompts.

Getting hands on? Here is my step-by-step test drive*.

1) Go to https://studio.firebase.google.com/
2) Enter prompt to describe your app, e.g., "An app that takes user input prompt on places of interest, for example, theaters in London, England and returns the locations in a table."
3) Review AI interpretation of #2 for a prototype: look ok, proceed (otherwise, make changes).
4) AI generate app - complete with a user interface for entering places of interest and location details. For example, "Theaters in West End, London"

The app will list a table displaying West End and London in (latitude, longitude). This test drive aims to illustrate the ease of experimentation with AI beyond Chat-GPT and 10x productivity enhancement potential.
