Juan Pablo graduated in 2009 from Universidad Nacional de Córdoba as a Geologist, then performing a Masters in Petroleum Geosciences at IFP-School (France) in 2010-2011, and currently e PhD in agreement between University of Buenos Aires and University Pierre-et-Marie Curie (France).

In his eight years of experience, he has worked in exploration projects and regional studies in different basins across South America and Africa. In 2012 he joined YPF as Exploration Geologist working for International Exploration projects in Paraguay and Uruguay. Since 2014 he is part of the Offshore Exploration Team within YPF and has been involved in assessing the exploration potential of different onshore and offshore basins. Juan Pablo is currently President of the AAPG Young Professionals Argentina Chapter, and serves as Chair in the AAGGP Board.

Their responses and biographical information were provided by each candidate and edited only for grammar, spelling and format.

This information will also be provided as hard-copy in an early issue of the EXPLORER and available on the AAPG website through the election period. Ballots will be mailed, online in the first quarter of each year. Results will be posted mid-May.

Candidates were asked to limit their biographies to 350 words and responses to 500 words.
