Meet Stephanie Nwoko, 2019 Candidate for AAPG Secretary

I am passionate about volunteering and would like to give back to the society by making a difference and bring about change.

The oil and gas industry is a global industry and so is AAPG, a global association but somehow that global perspective isn’t always represented. As secretary, I would like to see more diversity in AAPG, from young professionals, minorities and women in sessions, panels and talks; and also growth, as we know AAPG membership is dwindling.

AAPG is in dire need of progressive change, and I have great innovative skills and ideas to contribute to the Association. I love implementing changes, and I hope as secretary I can make an impact in moving AAPG in a progressive direction. I also love mentoring and would like the young professionals to look up to me as an exemplary professional and aspire to follow in my footsteps.

I am very honored to be nominated for the secretary position and will continue to serve and volunteer at AAPG.
