Margo J. Liss

Margo Liss is standing for the position of chair-elect for the House of Delegates. She is a geologist and the owner of BernAdele Enterprises, located outside of Dallas, Texas.

Her past experience includes staff geologist/Vice President at DeGolyer and MacNaughton, senior geologist and business development manager at Schlumberger and consultant for Mobil Oil.

Liss has been a member of AAPG since 1992, she is a board certified petroleum geologist and is currently serving as secretary for the Division of Professional Affairs (DPA). She is also a member of the Resource Evaluation committee and a delegate in the House of Delegates (HoD). She has also served in the past as a DPA councilor, a co-convener in the AAPG/DPA Reserves Forum, a member of the DPA’s Reserves and Resources committee and as an alternate delegate in the HoD. 

In addition to her affiliation with AAPG, Liss also is a Texas licensed professional geologist, holds membership in professional organizations such as the Geological Society of America, Dallas Geological Society, European Association of Geoscientists and Engineers, Petroleum Engineers Club of Dallas, Society of Petroleum Engineers and Society of Petroleum Evaluation Engineers. In addition, Liss received the 2018 Ambassador Award from the Texas Energy Council.
