Another success story to add to the list of outstanding Middle East geosciences events! The AAPG Geological Process-Based Forward Modeling GTW was held from 23-25 May 2022 at the Westin Golf & Spa hotel in Abu Dhabi, UAE with the main purpose of identifying and discussing key challenges in geological process-based forward modeling, finishing with a concluding session to define a practical way forward.
Another success story to add to the list of outstanding Middle East geosciences events! The AAPG Geological Process-Based Forward Modeling GTW was held from 23-25 May 2022 at the Westin Golf & Spa hotel in Abu Dhabi, UAE with the main purpose of identifying and discussing key challenges in geological process-based forward modeling, finishing with a concluding session to define a practical way forward.
The debates and discussions that took place throughout the event were extremely enriching and interactive. Delegates had a great opportunity to share their ideas on the way forward, while divulging the industry needs to develop new, additional approaches to reservoir, seal and source rock prediction.
The workshop welcomed 58 attendees from 26 different companies and 13 different countries.
The opening of the event on the 23rd morning included an inaugural keynote by Ashraf Al-Tahini and Maher Almarhoon, Saudi Aramco followed by two technical keynotes by Daniel Tetzlaff, Westchase Software Corporation and Scott Bowman, PetroDynamics.
In total, this 3-day workshop included 26 talks, 15 poster presentations and 5 breakout/discussion sessions.
