Biota are pioneering new DNA diagnostics applications for subsurface characterization and fluid description beyond our commercial offering of production allocation.

Subsurface DNA diagnostics are an excellent complement to geochemical data and through our integration of these datasets with petrophysics and other subsurface data we are driving deeper insights and improving our understanding of the subsurface, with novel petroleum systems applications.

Caroline Burke

Caroline Burke is a Geoscientist with 19 years oil & gas operator experience. Her focus has been in petroleum systems analysis, geochemistry & integration of geodynamics, lithospheric structure and complex structural geology. More recently she has expanded her integration of subsurface Geoscience data into the deep earth microbiome. Caroline now works for Biota Technology as Director of Subsurface Solutions developing applications for DNA diagnostics in the subsurface to evaluate fluid movement and improve reservoir characterization. Integration of this new data aims to better understand and describe fluid properties, deliverability and souring.
