University of Western Cape, South Africa hosts VG lecture

 

The University of Western Cape AAPG Student Chapter received a truly enlightening Visiting Geoscientist (VG) Lecture delivered by AAPG Africa Region President-Elect Mr. Femi Esan. The lecture was themed around “Geoscience Careers - Opportunities, Threats and Challenges” and was attended by 28 faculty members including the Head of Department, HOD of the earth science department and other geoscience staff.

The University of Western Cape AAPG Student Chapter received a truly enlightening Visiting Geoscientist (VG) Lecture delivered by AAPG Africa Region President-Elect Mr. Femi Esan. The lecture was themed around “Geoscience Careers - Opportunities, Threats and Challenges” and was attended by 28 faculty members including the Head of Department, HOD of the earth science department and other geoscience staff. Many questions were successfully answered on the various factors that influence the ever changing oil and gas industry landscape. A positive outlook was provided by the concise lecture to assist the students with a focus during these times of uncertainty.
