Bob prefaced the talk with a discussion about oil prices and the business cycle, comparing this current downturn to the 1986 price collapse. He noted that during the 1986 downturn, companies started returning to 'business as usual' after about 2 years; long before the price of oil fully recovered. He believes that we should see companies begin hiring and re-starting their training programs in 2018. He noted that it will still be a very competitive environment as there are more applicants than jobs. Those students then can learn the 10 Habits will be more likely that of successful oil finders, making them more competitive in the market.
