Visiting Geoscientist Robert Park visits fledgling New Zealand student chapter

University of Auckland welcomes lecture and field trip from Robert Park.

I recently accepted an invitation to talk to the embryonic student chapter at Auckland University.  30 students attended.

Steve Brennan, a PhD student recently arrived from Boulder, CO, where he was a member of an award winning IBA team, provided assistance with the provision of a course and a field trip.

I gave an introductory lecture on carbonate reservoirs. After the talk I met with the students over a pizza and coffee and for the remainder of afternoon talked with them on a range of topics, from future of industry and job opportunities to research topics.
