NAU emerges tops in IBA competition for Africa Region

 

Congratulations to Team Nnamdi Azikiwe University (NAU), Awka — winning team representing Africa Region at the 2017 Global finals of the Imperial Barrel Award (IBA) competition taking place in Houston, USA in April 2017.

Congratulations to Team Nnamdi Azikiwe University (NAU), Awka — winning team representing Africa Region at the 2017 Global finals of the Imperial Barrel Award (IBA) competition taking place in Houston, USA in April 2017.

Team NAU was up against Helwan University (Egypt), Cairo University (Egypt) and University of Western Cape, South Africa in a very keenly contested Africa Region IBA final competition which was organized on 27th February in Cape Town, South Africa.

The 2017 Edition of the competition saw 19 schools across Africa register for the competition, with four student teams in West Africa taking part in the semi-final competition in Lagos on 27th January 2017; and six student teams participating in the North Africa qualifying competition in Cairo, Egypt on 26th January 2017. The 2017 qualifying competition for Sub-Sahara saw the participation of student teams representing Nnamdi Azikiwe University; University of Lagos; University of Calabar and National Polytechinic Institute, Cote D'Ivoire; while Ain shams University, Cairo University, Mansoura University, Helwan University, Suez Canal University & Tunis El Manah University were represented in the North Africa qualifying competition.
