Petroleum Economics - New Short Course

The Petroleum Economics is designed for New Energy Professionals. The course consist of lecture and exercises to assist the new industry energy professionals with understanding the principles of petroleum economics; including the value of money, quantifying financials risks in petroleum investments, rates of return, forecasting cash flows and the fundamentals of capital budgeting.

The Petroleum Economics course discusses the concepts of cash flow, debt service, capital and expense budgets and return to shareholders are revealed. In the second portion of the course, the nuts and bolts of cash flow estimation, time value of money, and cost of capital are discussed.The attendees will be introduced to decision analysis and capital budgeting. The course also includes a closing exercise to develop an 'un-risked' capital budget. The instructor, Larry Chorn, has over 30 years of experience and will make this an exciting course with an enormous amount of information to gain by attending.
