… should you decide to accept it: Follow AAPG on Twitter and boost our following to 4,220 by 04/22.

Just four months ago we had 3,000 followers of the AAPG Twitter feed.

Today we have 3,879 people following the AAPG Twitter account.

The annual meeting starts on April 22. Can we increase our following to 4,220 by 04/22? We think we can, but we need your help to do so.

Should you decide to accept this mission, then go to the AAPG Twitter feed and click “Follow”.

Once you start following AAPG send us this Tweet: “@AAPG Hi #AAPG! I’m taking the #MI4220 challenge for #ACE2012.”

Once launched you’ll need to go into your account settings at the top of the Twitter page. Look for this graphic:

Then browse through the account settings to select your privacy, notifications and to upload a profile picture along with some profile information. Reviewing these settings are very important. Particularly the profile portion because, should you decide to start tweeting you want to be considered as a valid individual.

Twitter has great help center where you can start with the Twitter basics and move on from there.

I suggest you start slow by simply reading what people post and get used to the delivery mechanism. Try a few searches and start following some people.
