Welcome to the new AAPG PSGD website and blog!

It has been a long time coming, but PSGD now has a fresh-looking, dynamic, and interactive Web presence.

Welcome to the AAPG Petroleum Structure and Geomechanics Division (PSGD) blog! It has been a long time coming, but thanks to the hard work of the AAPG website team (led by Website Manager Janet Brister), the PSGD now has a fresh-looking, dynamic, and interactive Web presence!

Here is the direct link to our new website.

An exciting feature of our new website is that it is now easier than ever to interact with the PSGD community. Did you come across a cool structure in the field and want others to know about it? Are you interested in sharing your insights on a current topic you think is relevant to the PSGD? We welcome blog entries and contributions from our members! Just contact me with your ideas.

Note that some blog entries and webpages are available to PSGD members only.

Here’s how to become a PSGD member:

  1. Maintain an active AAPG membership.
  2. Complete your online AAPG profile.
  3. Send me an email with your AAPG member number and reasons why you want to join the Division. Once we verify that you are an active AAPG member and have an online AAPG profile, you will be added to our emailing list and given access to Members Only sections of our blog and website.

I invite you to explore our website and learn about us, what we do, our publications, meetings, and other topics of interest to the petroleum structure and geomechanics community.

Thanks for stopping by!
