The AAPG Latin america Region winners for the Imperial Barrel Award of 2015 are from Simon Bolivar University.
The AAPG Latin America Region congratulates Mizael Bravo, Clara Braña, Kristian Torres, Victoria Jimenez and Roberto de la Rosa of Simon Bolivar University on their first place finish at the Latin America Region IBA Semifinals in Port of Spain, Trinidad & Tobago on April 10.
Congratulations also go to teams from the Central University of Venezuela -Caracas, the National University of Colombia - Bogota, and the University of the Andes - Bogota, who advanced to the semifinals in Trinidad & Tobago after taking the top positions in the virtual round conducted via Web conference on March 2 The virtual round featured participation from 17 teams representing six countries throughout the Region.
Simon Bolivar University students will represent the Latin America Region at the Global IBA Competition in Denver, USA in May 2015. We wish them all the best!
