The symposium involves students from AAPG earth science chapters across Canada that are invited to Calgary for an opportunity to develop their leadership skills. The goal of the symposium is to increase student interest in the petroleum geosciences, through increased activities with their student chapter groups. It is also a very effective way to meet industry professionals and network!

During the summit, students from earth science departments across Canada will participate in presentations and a workshop which will involve brainstorming and sharing of ideas on how to improve their student chapters, as well as increase student participation and membership within AAPG. Students will also have the opportunity to meet and network with industry representatives and learn about the Canadian petroleum industry.
