AAPG “Source Rocks of the Middle East” GTW took place from 25-26 January 2016 at the Yas Island Rotana Hotel, Abu Dhabi, United Arab Emirates. 43 industry professionals from 13 countries and 30 companies attended the workshop to network with colleagues and receive up-to-date knowledge about the recognition and characterization of source rock, along with new and revised technologies and regional case studies. 19 presentations took place across the 2 days, representing a combination of 16 different companies and academic institutions.

The AAPG/EAGE “Hydrocarbon Seals of the Middle East” GTW took place 18-20 January 2016 at the Crowne Plaza Hotel in Muscat, Oman. 57 industry professionals from 11 countries and 27 companies attended the workshop to network with peers and colleagues and learn about the industry’s geosciences. 20 presentations took place, representing a combination of 13 different companies and academic institutions.
