Reef Animals

Aerial view of Boiler Bay, east end, St. Croix, intensively studied by Walter Adey and his research group (Smithsonian Institution) and West Indies Laboratory sedimentologists. The reef fringing the point at the left of the photo is constructed on a prior reef platform, uncemented, that was destroyed and wave planed. Longshore current is strong though this area from left to right.
