Soap Creek rapids from the air. Note that the rapid is located just below the debris fan where a tributary joins the river. The debris brought in by floods on the tributary creates the dams that form the rapids. Kaibab Limestone and Coconino Sandstone form cliffs, the red slopes are Hermit and Supai Formations. Toroweap Formation, if present, is thin.
