The AAPG shuttle bus system provides convenient transportation Sunday through Wednesday between selected convention hotels and the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center. Please note that some hotels are within walking distance of the convention center and will not be serviced by the shuttle buses.
“Convention Way” (parallel to Market Street in front of the convention center) is the pick up and drop off point. Look for “AAPG Shuttle” signs and/or check the bus schedule on the literature stand in the registration area.
San Antonio’s metropolitan transit system, VIA, serves the city with an extensive bus and streetcar system. Downtown travel is a breeze on the VIA streetcar. There are four streetcar routes that serve downtown locations.
Streetcar information can be found at kiosks conveniently located on major street routes.
VIA also offers 106 regular bus routes to reach various locations and attractions throughout the city, as well as express routes from downtown to the theme parks.
The Rio Water Taxi Service stops at over 39 locations along the beautiful Riverwalk. The Rio Water Taxi drivers have tickets on board that you may purchase or you may purchase them in advance at one of the ticket locations.
