Limit:
40 persons per session
Content:
1 PDH (ethics)

These two-hour sessions will focus on a variety of professional-practices issues, such as conflicts of interest, confidentiality, integrity and honesty. Discussion of various scenarios will sharpen one’s awareness of the issues and the differences of opinion resulting from our varied professional experiences and individual weightings of particular desirable goals (e.g., public disclosure versus business confidentiality).

Participants who share their experiences provide a variety of viewpoints to particular topics and the complexities of what at first seem like simple issues of ethics. The issues discussed at each session will be different. Each session will meet annual continuing education ethics requirements of the Texas Board of Professional Geoscientists, as well as many other states with licensure/registration boards that have mandatory continuing education requirements.

There are a limited number of sponsored registrations available for students on a first-come basis. If you wish to register for one of the sponsored spots, please register online at www.aapg.org/sanantonio/registration.cfm. If sponsored space is no longer available, you can register at the full fee and/or you can place your name on the waiting list for a sponsored space in the short course.
