There will be no shortage of entertainment as convention attendees will be right in the middle of the sights and sounds of one of the largest and most colorful festivals. FIESTA is a 10-day, city-wide, fun-filled, family-oriented celebration with more than 100 different events. It’s the biggest party in Texas!

Monday night will be the scene of the Texas Cavaliers River Parade on the San Antonio River. This is one of the largest and most unique parades of its kind in the country. Conventioneers will have the enviable opportunity to gather, dine and drink while watching the parade from some of the best seats available. For those seeking a more traditional place to spend Monday evening, a dinner and dance will take place at a distinctive downtown locale.

If you think Monday night sounds fun, Tuesday night will be fun and wild. Be prepared to mingle with hordes of locals at the real, original A Night In Old San Antonio®! Locals lovingly refer to this frolic as NIOSA® (pronounced “knee-oh-sa”). Over a fournight period, NIOSA attracts 100,000 people to the downtown, historic little village of La Villita, which is directly across the street from the Henry B. Gonzalez Convention Center.

Convention guests and spouses will have plenty of tough but exciting decisions to make with the variety of activities available. You will have the opportunity to tour 17th Century Spanish missions, local museums, historic old mansions and neighborhoods in downtown San Antonio. You may observe unique South Texas artisan glass blowers and painters and shop at one of the newest, most upscale malls in the country or at the Mexican Mercado. Those ready for an adventure outside of the city can go antiquing in the world-renowned hamlet of Fredericksburg, Texas, just over an hour north of San Antonio in the beautiful Texas Hill Country.
