| Challenges of New Frontier Off-Shore Deep Water Hydrocarbon Basins: Focus on the Levant Basin and East Mediterranean | 27 May 2013 | 29 May 2013 | Beirut, Lebanon The workshop will be opened by plenary sessions that will overview the regional and structural geology of the Levant Basin. The timing of the proposed workshop is appropriate, as the Lebanese offshore licensing round has been announced to start on May 2nd, 2013; by that time exploration might start in five new blocks offshore Cyprus. A more profound understanding of the key elements affecting the prospectivity of the Levant Basin (as a frontier hydrocarbon province) will have wide application across the region and in other similar basins. | MER |
