Executive Committee, Divisions Announce Election Results
Robbie Rice Gries, head of Priority Oil and Gas in Denver, was voted president-elect by the AAPG membership. She will serve as AAPG president in 2001-02.
Also elected were Ronald A. Nelson, with BP Amoco in Houston, vice president (one-year term); and Edward B. Picou Jr., a consultant in New Orleans, treasurer (two-year term).
The new AAPG officers will assume their duties on July 1, when Marlan W. Downey, Bartell Professor of Geology and the chief scientist at the Sarkeys Center at the University of Oklahoma, assumes the presidency.

Also, Lowell Lischer, San Antonio consultant, will serve on the Executive Committee as chairman of the House of Delegates.

Division of Environmental Geosciences
The AAPG Division of Environmental Geosciences has voted William E. Harrison, of the Kansas Geological Survey, as its president-elect 2000-2001, and Jane McColloch, of the West Virginia Geological Survey, as vice president for the 2000-2001 term.

- Royce P. Carr, of St. Mary Land & Exploration in Mt. Pleasant, Texas, has been voted President-Elect by DPA members and will serve as president in 2001-02.
- Also elected were J. Michael Party, of Wagner & Brown in Midland, Texas,vice president; and
- Suzanne G. Cluff, Denver, Colorado, treasurer. Others who will assume office on July 1 are G. W. "Skip" Hobbs, of Ammonite Reources, New Canaan, CT, president; and Lee T. Billingsley, of Abraxas Petroleum, San Antonio, TX, secretary.
Energy Minerals Divisions
- Andrew R. Scott, with the Bureau of Economic Geology, the University of Texas, Austin, has been voted President-Elect by the EMD membership and will serve as President 2001-02.
- Also confirmed were Brian J. Cardott, of the Oklahoma Geological Survey in Norman, Okla., vice president; Alexander R. Papp, Marston & Marston, Lakewood, Colo., secretary.
- Michael A. Wiley, Carrollton, TX, will serve the second of a two-year term as treasurer.
- Councillors confirmed were Douglas G. Patchen, Eastern Section; Samuel A. Friedman, Mid-Continent; Walter L. Youngquist, Pacific; and Laura L. Wray, Rocky Mountain.
