Unconventionals Update

Published
American Association of Petroleum Geologists (AAPG)

Where and how can drilling and producing unconventionals be economically viable? The latest techniques, technologies and lessons learned will be reviewed, with a focus on shale play optimization. We will examine the lessons learned and case studies having to do with successful sweet spot hunting, drilling and production.

We will look at:

  • using new technologies in unconventional fields in order to improve recoverability
  • using new techniques and workflows in unconventional fields
  • optimizing "drilled but not completed" wells
  • refracturing shale plays - where / how / when
  • case studies
  • good candidates for revitalization (a "live" property or prospect)

Great rate for AAPG/Affiliated Society Members!
