William J. Barrett is the 2012 recipient of the L. Austin Weeks Medal

Mr. Barrett has been a member of AAPG since 1961 and a Trustee Associate since 2002.

The L. Austin Weeks Memorial Medal is given in recognition for extraordinary philanthropy and service directed to advance the mission of the AAPG Foundation. The Foundation award honors the late L. Austin Weeks, whose philanthropic legacy set an exemplary standard. The award will be given at the AAPG Annual Conference and Exhibition in April, held in Long Beach, CA.

Herbert G. Davis to be the 2012 Chairman’s Award Recipient

Mr. Davis has been a member of AAPG since 1956 and a Trustee Associate since 1978.

The AAPG Foundation Chairman’s Award is to be given to recognize persons who have made extraordinary contributions (monetary or service) to the AAPG Foundation, and also to call attention to the role and value of the Foundation. The award will be given at the 2012 Trustee Associate meeting at Scottsdale, AZ.
