Applications are now being accepted for the AAPG Foundation's Deana and Paul Strunk Military Veterans Scholarship Program. This grant provides financial support to veterans pursuing their undergraduate geoscience education.

2017 recipient: Jahleel Stone, U.S. Air Force, University of Tulsa

Those encouraged to apply for these scholarships include both active U.S. military service members (including National Guard and Reserve) or veteran members separated from active military service who have been honorably discharged and are entering or re-entering a post-secondary undergraduate program in a field of geoscience full time or part time at a four-year accredited college or university.

Nominations are due by May 1.

Scholarships range from US $2,000 - $4,000 and may be used for educational expenses and cost of attendance.
