The AAPG Foundation presents the Inspirational Geoscience Educator Award, formerly known as the Professorial Award, to a professor who has inspired students to love geoscience and motivated them to pursue geological careers. Nominations accepted starting Jan. 15.

The 2018 Inspirational Geoscience Educator Award winner receives:

• A $6,000 cash prize.
• Recognition at the Foundation Chairman's Reception at the AAPG Annual Convention and Exhibition in Salt Lake City, May 2018.
• A beautiful commemorative plaque.

Nominations are due by March 15, 2018.
