The AAPG Foundation's Deana and Paul Strunk Military Veterans Scholarship Program (MVSP) provides financial support to veterans pursuing their undergraduate geoscience education.
Who can apply?
Active U.S. Military service members (including National Guard and Reserve) or veteran members separated from active military service who have been honorably discharged and are entering or reentering an undergraduate program in a field of geoscience, full-time or part-time, at a four-year accredited college or university.
Applications Due May 15.
Scholarships range from $2,000-$4,000 and may be used for educational expenses and cost of attendance.
Steps to Apply
- Gather your materials.
Requisite materials include: Documentation of service, unofficial transcripts, proof of enrollment, statement of financial need, a career goal statement (500 words), and letter(s) of recommendation.
- Visit the AAPG Foundation website. Review all requirements and guidelines for applications.
- Submit your application.
Prepare your application online and submit before 11:59 PST on May 15.
