L. Austin Weeks Undergraduate Grant Application Now Open

The 2015 application for L. Austin Weeks Undergraduate Grants is now open!

This international program, offered by the AAPG Foundation, affords the opportunity for undergraduate students and their associated student chapters, associations or clubs, to apply for funds to assist with paying for geoscience educational expenses. Grants of $500 USD are available. This award program, open to students internationally, has recently expanded to allow both undergraduate geoscience students and their student-led organizations to submit an application for funds on their own; nominations are no longer required.

Grant funds may be used towards educational expenses such as tuition, geoscience field equipment, field trips, conferences, and other geoscience academic ventures.

Thanks to many generous donors, among them the late L. Austin Weeks for which the program is named, the Foundation will grant $76,000 in funds to geoscience students and student associations in 2015. Don’t miss your opportunity – apply today!
