As part of the conference organization, there will be secure
ground transportation from Abuja airport to all major hotels
in Abuja Central District. On arrival at Abuja airport, delegates
should please approach airport representatives holding up the
NAPE sign or look for a stand with NAPE/AAPG logo.
Delegates who
prefer personal transportation (rental car) should arrange with
the hotels where they have reservation.
Alternatively, they can contact us at the email below for car
hire to meet them at the airport. Most rental car services
in Nigeria are chauffer driven.
For Lagos arrivals, it is strongly
recommended that delegates use their affiliated company reception
facilities as they may
have to stay overnight in Lagos before proceeding to Abuja
the following morning. Most international flights arrive Lagos
in the early to late evenings. We do not plan to have dedicated
NAPE airport reception in Lagos as almost all oil companies
in Nigeria have facilities in place. For delegates that are
not associated with any oil company, and are entering Nigeria
via Lagos, please contact the conference organizers ahead of
time for specific needs. In addition, some of the major airlines
could route Abuja bound passengers through their local partner
airlines, and offer a night room in Lagos.
During the conference,
there will be scheduled shuttle bus services from major hotels
in Abuja to the conference venue.
The frequency will be noted on the buses as well as the NAPE
desk in each of the major hotels. Transportation will also
be provided from the various hotels to any social event venue.
Please see the conference programme for details. On Thursday,
November 18 and Friday, November 19, airport shuttle services
will also be provided.
