Upon successful completion of this course, the learner will be able to define and describe supply, demand, legal and regulatory issues for carbon dioxide capture and storage.
This course focuses on profiling supply and demand of CO2, including industrial sources. It also looks at demand for CO2 in enhanced oil recovery as well as in other applications. In this section, enhanced oil recovery is contrasted with geo-sequestration. Finally the course contains a review of the prevailing legal environment and emerging regulatory issues.
