On behalf of President Paul Weimer and the AAPG Executive Committee, I would like to extend an invitation to attend the AAPG 31st Annual Leadership Days, August 12-14, 2011, in Boulder, Colorado at the University of Colorado, 2200 Colorado Avenue, Boulder, Colorado 80309. Please note this conference is by invitation only. The Annual Leadership Days will begin on Friday at the Millennium Harvest House Boulder Hotel at 5:30 p.m. with a reception and dinner and will conclude at 1:00 p.m. on Sunday.
The University of Colorado is a state university. The Benson Earth Sciences Building is a 10-minute walk from the hotel. The Leadership Days Conference is being held in the summer when few people are present on campus.
We rely upon the leaders in our Association to advance our profession and the benefits of AAPG membership and this year is especially important. Improving industry conditions offer expanded opportunities for AAPG and, in particular, its valued members. We need your help in defining the future of our Association and addressing current challenges. By becoming more familiar with the Association, you can assist in formulation of strategies, tactics and goals for the benefit of our members.
Please download the agenda for the complete program.
Mission Statement:
The purpose of Leadership Days is three-fold:
- to meet and network with identified leaders of AAPG and its Sister Societies;
- to learn new personal skills that will be useful to you, your company and AAPG; and
- to contribute to and learn about important current initiatives and issues affecting AAPG's future.

Please be sure to bring appropriate clothing for warm outdoor daytime temperatures and cooler evenings. The dress is business casual. Boulder weather in August is usually hot with temperatures in the high 80's to mid 90's, and evening temperatures in the mid 60's to low 70's. Rain is always a slight possibility.
