In this module you will gain an understanding of the regional and depositional background of the middle Frio Formation (the FR-4 play) in Stratton field, South Texas, and review bounding surfaces, sand-body geometries, fluvial facies, and the use of the SP curve in inferring facies types. You will then use this information to complete a well log cross section of the F37 fluvial gas reservoir by identifying and correlating shale marker beds, identifying log character of sandstones, and identifying and correlating sandstone beds. Once you have completed the cross section you will then check your interpretation's accuracy against a 3-D seismic reflection-amplitude map.
