Exhibition Hall Hours
The Exhibition will be held in Halls C , D and E of the George R. Brown Convention Center during these hours:
- Sunday, 10 April – 5:00 p.m.–7:30 p.m. (Icebreaker Reception)
- Monday, 11 April – 8:30 a.m.–5:30 p.m.
- Tuesday, 12 April – 8:30 a.m.–5:30 p.m.
- Wednesday, 13 April – 8:30 a.m.–12:00 p.m.
Note: Children under the age of 16 will not be allowed in the exhibition hall during setup
or teardown. Children 13 and older will be allowed to attend the exhibition during regular
exhibition hours if they are properly registered and wearing their badges. During exhibition
hours, children under the age of 13 will not be allowed into any activities within the exhibition hall, including the Icebreaker Reception, unless they are young enough or small enough to be confined in a stroller, backpack or frontpack.

The GRBCC features a 1,600-space parking garage located at the corner of Polk Street and Avenida de las Americas. The parking lot is connected to the GRBCC and the Hilton Americas-Houston by Level 2 skywalks.

Shuttle bus transportation is available to and from the following hotels and the convention center for your convenience. Please note that many hotels are within walking distance of the convention center and will not be serviced by the shuttle buses.
Lobby E, is the pickup and drop off point for the convention center. Look for “AAPG Shuttle” signs in the selected hotel lobbies and registration area at the convention center.

Capturing or photographing contents of oral or poster presentations or exhibition booths via any electronic media is strictly prohibited at all APPG conventions and conferences.

Judge Your Peers’ Papers and Posters
Your participation in the judging of papers and posters is requested! This important function determines the winners of the Matson Award, Braunstein Award and Division Awards. Your effort will involve judging and evaluating one or more oral or poster sessions. Stop by the Judges’ Room to pick up your packet of judging materials and enjoy a beverage or snack on your way to the session. Please mark your registration form to volunteer to judge at the 2011 convention! SEPM has implemented a new method of judging the SEPM Best Oral and Best Paper Award. Please see page 25 for more information.

All judges should stop by the Judges Room to pick up packets prior to their assigned sessions. You may enjoy a beverage and snack while you receive final instructions and answers to any
questions regarding the judging process. Completed scorecards should be returned to the Judges Room as soon as possible after evaluating your session. Workspace is provided for you to complete scorecards, if needed.
Lost and Found
Location: Registration, Exhibition Hall E
Items found during the convention should be turned in at Registration. If you lose an item, check with Registration. If your item has not been turned in you may leave information on how to contact you should the item be found.
Luggage Check
Location: Explore Houston, Level 2 across from Skybridge to Hilton Americas
Time: Wednesday, 13 April, 7:30 a.m. – 6:00 p.m.
A luggage check is available at a cost per item checked — $2 for purses/small bags or hats, $3 for coats, $5 for luggage.
No-Smoking Policy
Smoking is prohibited at the Convention Center.
Parking
The GRBCC features a 1,600-space parking garage located at the corner of Polk Street and Avenida de las Americas. The parking lot is connected to the GRBCC and the Hilton Americas-
Houston by Level 2 skywalks. In addition, a 650-car garage is located under Discovery Green park across the street from the GRB, and several privately owned surface lots surround the convention center. All are just a short walk away.
