Resource Plays in Tight Unconventional Reservoirs: Multi-Disciplinary Issues, Problems, Opportunities, Directions

Theme: How to transition from dry gas to liquids-rich unconventional resource plays?
12-14 June 2011 | The Banff Centre | Banff, Alberta, Canada

Final Schedule

Objective

Canada, considered one of the few remaining onshore frontiers for unconventional resources, continues to excite the imaginations of geoscientists. Resource plays represent significant new opportunities to expand production across Canada. The workshop objective is to develop knowledge of the cutting--edge science involved in unconventional resource plays. With the potential of a higher market price for oil, GTW Canada will look at tight oil and the hydrocarbon continuum producible from shale, rather than on shale gas exclusively.
