Join us in Abu Dhabi to meet worldwide experts in the oil industry in order to share their knowledge and experiences to identify solutions and the best practices applicable to the challenges to unlock tight reservoirs in the region. The workshop kicks off with a 1-day course entitled “Introduction to hydraulic fracturing” covering the processes involved, candidate selection, treatment design and post-treatment evaluation of hydraulic fracturing and will also focus on unconventional gas and multi-stage horizontal well. The following days will feature by presentations and discussions on the latest initiatives to identify potential challenges, solutions and the best practices applicable to the region to unlock tight reservoirs.  Experts will present insights on the following sessions:

1. Resource Assessment and Prospect Development
2. Reservoir Characterisation
3. Drilling
4. Stimulation & Production

The workshop will also have a Panel Session of respected R&D leaders from NOC’s, IOC’s, service companies and consultants in the region to share their vision, best practices and success stories for a sustainable competitive advantage and to open new frontiers on the production of tight reservoirs. Confirmed panellists include Dr Mohammed Badri (Schlumberger), Dr Gaurav Agrawal (Baker Hughes), Dr Brian Coffin (Saudi Aramco) and Dr Michael Bittar (Halliburton).
