Carbonate Experts! We want your abstract…

American Association of Petroleum Geologists (AAPG)

AAPG Europe is extending their call for abstracts for exciting GTW in the beautiful region of Bari, Italy, which aims at bringing together experts of different disciplines from academia and the oil and gas industry.

Many factors and processes contribute to imparting an extraordinary complexity to carbonate reservoirs and source rocks. This unique complexity makes exploration and production of the huge petroleum resources hosted in carbonate sequences a very challenging task.

This meeting follows the success of the conference held in Naples in April 2014 and aims at bringing together experts of different disciplines from the academia and the oil and gas industry.

We invite you to share your experience on new approaches, new tools and new ways of integrating geological and geophysical information that can help in reducing the uncertainties related to the characterization and modelling of carbonate sequences and reservoirs.

Do you have an abstract to submit for one of the following technical sessions?
  • Carbonate depositional environments and facies architecture.
  • Carbonate diagenesis and its impact on reservoir quality.
  • Factors controlling the characteristics of fracture networks in carbonate reservoirs.
  • Petrophysic and pore network characteristics of carbonate rocks.
  • Integrated reservoir modelling of carbonate reservoirs.
  • Case studies on carbonate sequences and reservoirs.
  • Facies and stratigraphy of Mesozoic and Tertiary carbonates of the Tethys.
  • Source rocks in carbonate settings.
  • Carbonate play types in the Mediterranean region.
  • Carbonates in thrust-belt settings.
  • Mixed carbonate/clastic systems.
  • Structural controls on facies and reservoir performance.
If so, submit now before it's too late!
