AAPG Asia Pacific's second learning event in Indonesia was held in Bandung from 13-14 September, 2017. It was very well attended by 110 registrants from 10 countries - Australia, China, France, India, Indonesia, Malaysia, Singapore, Thailand, UK and the USA. The theme of the event was "Hidden Potential in Mature Basins : Analogs and Best Practices". Helmed by a steering committee of Syamsu Alam (Pertamina), Noor Syarifuddin (Total Indonesie) and Rovicky Putrohari (Saka Energy) as well as a technical committee, the event was chaired by Herman Darman, AAPG Stalwart and ex president of the Asia Pacific region as well as Dwandari Ralanarko of CNOOC Indonesia. Dwandari also chairs the Indonesian Student Chapter Oversight Committee. The feedback for this event was very good and we hope to run another symposium in Indoneia in the near future.
