SEG Universitas Gadjah Mada Student Chapter is involved in the organisation of the South Asian Geosciences Student Conference (SAGSC). This is an International Geosciences student conference held by Society of Exploration Geophysics (SEG). It is the second event of its kind in South Asia and SEG UGM-SC is trusted to be the host for this event. The event is managed to provide various technical and non-technical activities in the 4-Days conference. There will be a Grand Ceremony, Exhibition, Lecture, Conference, Competition, Geo Bowl, Field Trip and City Tour.

The organisers look forward to a high student attendance.  SAGSC is widely open to geoscience students who want to focus on crossing the boundaries between all of the geoscience branches such as Oil & Gas, Geophysics, Near-Surface, and general Geology, so they are able to share and furnish their ideas and curiosity while interacting with the experts, sharing knowledge, networking, among others. The SAGSC 2016 will consist of many extraordinary research topics within a very interesting student environment which will enable students to carry out mutually beneficial work.

The 2nd SAGSC 2016 will be held from 22-27 August 2016 at University Club Hotel, Universitas Gadjah Mada, Yogyakarta, Indonesia. For further information please check our Event Website or directly contact us on: ; Twitter: @sagsc2016; Line: @pfs1476m; Facebook: sagsc2016.

Our own AAPG student chapter will have their own booth and promote their activities on SAGSC exhibition (23 - 24 August).

See you at Yogyakarta, Indonesia!
