Mr Ameed Ghori of the Department of Mines and Petroleum, Government of Australia (based in Perth), visited Pakistan on leave (27 February to 27 March 2016) and presented a one-day Seminar at University of Karachi on 14 March 2016. The topic was Unconventional Petroleum Reservoirs, and it was well attended, by over 80 students and staff members from three Pakistani universities. Certificates of attendance were issued to all students. Ameed continues to provide his expertise as an AAPG Visiting Geoscientist and AAPG Asia Pacific is grateful for his volunteerism. Ameed is also a region delegate to the AAPG House of Delegates (Asia Pacific Region).
