First AAPG Student Chapter in the Netherlands was established in TU Delft, on 29 May 2008 with Prof. Dr. Stefan M. Luthi as the faculty advisor. Three AAPG Visiting Geoscientists visited the students on that day: Herman Darman (2nd from right), Peter Lloyd (3rd from right) and Jelle Boels (5th from right).
During this visit Herman gave a summary on student activities in the Asia Pacific region and Peter gave a career and development talk. Jelle Boels recently joined the Visiting Geoscientists Program and he shared about his work experiences.
Both Herman and Peter are past presidents of the AAPG Asia Pacific region. Peter was a member of the AAPG Europe House of Delegate and currently serves as AAPG Asia Pacific House of Delegate. Herman and Jelle are based in Shell International EP in the Netherlands.
