The idyllic island of Bali welcomed more than 130 participants to a joint AAPG-EAGE Geosciences Technology Workshop on “Fractured Carbonate Reservoirs”. The attendees participated in technical sessions, headlined by Keynote Speakers Syamsu Alam of PT Pertamina EP, Mateu Esteban of Repsol together with Conxita Taberner of Shell. A very interesting core workshop took place on the last day. Core samples were brought in with the sponsorship of ExxonMobil, Hess, Medco Energy-BP Migas and CITIC Seram. Convened by Julie Kupecz of Pearl Energy Jakarta, Robert Parks of Sherwood Holdings Jakarta and Sigit Sukmono of the Institut of Technologi Bandung, the GTW drew very good response from the Industry. Strong support was obtained from the Indonesian Petroleum Association. Sponsors included CoreLab, Husky Energy, Pearl Energy, PT Pertamina and Talisman Energy.
