    AAPG GEO-DC Governance Board

    The GEO-DC Governance Board provides strategic guidance and advice on office activities. It consists of AAPG members with significant experience interacting with policy makers and their staff. The Governance Board meets in person twice per year, with additional conference calls as required.

    Governmental Affairs Committee

    The Governmental Affairs Committee (GAC) is an important and long-term part of the Division of Professional Affairs’ activities. The GAC’s program has been varied and has consisted of:

    1. preparing of AAPG Statements on crucial issues (for approval by the Executive Committee)
    2. working to encourage AAPG members to communicate with Congress,
    3. preparing and providing testimony to Congress, and
    4. developing and carrying out informational meetings on critical energy issues for Congressional staff.
