The American Association of Petroleum Geologists (AAPG), the European Association of Geoscientists & Engineers (EAGE) invite you to participate in GEO 2008. The biannual GEO conference is the Middle East’s leading geoscience event, and is certain to attract thousands of geoscientists and other professionals from across the region and beyond.
The GEO 2008 Conference is lead by General Chairman Farouk Hussain Al-Zanki of Kuwait Oil Company, and convened under the patronage of H. H. Shaikh Khalifa bin Salman Al Khalifa, Prime Minister of the Kingdom of Bahrain. The Technical Programme Committee is co-chaired by AbdulAziz Al-Fares (KOC) and Hisham Al-Qassab (Saudi Aramco).
Conference Theme and Content
The theme of the conference, “Integrated Geoscience -Technical, Business and People Solutions” is conducive to a myriad of topics that are relevant to the current global energy climate which range from issues related to the aging workforce and initiatives to attract new talent to the Upstream oil & gas industry, advances in technology, reservoir characterization, new play concepts, companies working together in new relationships and geoscience solutions and applications for non conventional reservoirs.
