Submittal Instructions

Abstracts should be no more than 250-275 words long, and include objectives, procedures, results and conclusions relevant to the submittal’s subject matter. Abstract titles should not include company names. Please submit your abstract(s) in the form that you wish to see it published, as those abstracts accepted will not be edited prior to printing. At the time of submission, you will have an opportunity to submit an optional expanded abstract, including one or two figures if desired, as well as a photograph of the author(s).

Please submit all abstracts, whether oral and/or poster, online by following the instructions shown on www.geobahrain.org. If you are unable to submit online or have questions, please contact Ms. Terri Duncan via telephone (+1 918 584 2641) or by email (tduncan@aapg.org). The deadline for abstract submission has been extended to 4 July 2007. The conference organisers wish to remind you that at least one author from each submission accepted for the GEO 2008 technical programme, is expected to register for and attend the conference at their own expense. Please review current session information on the website, as session titles and formats may change during programme review and assembly.

Programme Information

Oral presentations:

Electronic projection will be the only format available for oral presentations. Speakers will have access to one electronic data projector, a single screen and pointer. Slide projectors, overhead projectors, and multiple screens will not be available.

Poster presentations:

Half-day poster sessions are planned for GEO 2008. Presenters will be provided with three 1m x 2.5m surfaces (long dimension horizontal). At least one author will be required to be with their presentation a minimum of two hours while it is on display. The authors, who will be solely responsible for the availability and security of such items, must provide any special equipment such as projectors, computers, or microscopes.
