Most Rocky Mountain operators express cautious optimism when asked about the current state of affairs in their region, but at least one operation brings unbridled excitement: WPX Energy found a big Niobrara sweet spot in the Piceance Basin, where it drilled a whopper that came to life at 16 MMcf/d – choked back.
