Madden Field in the Wind River Basin, Wyoming, shows percent anisotropy in color from zero to 9 percent over the Lower Fort Union (2.2 to 3.3 seconds) and the fast S-wave orientation by small vectors. Areas of high percentage of anisotropy may represent sweet spots of concentrated fracturing or fracture swarms.
